Signs and Symptoms of Orthopedic Injuries

Orthopedic injuries from auto or work-related accidents can affect your bones, joints, ligaments, muscles or tendons due to sudden impact, heavy lifting or repetitive strain.

Symptoms vary depending on the accident and injury type.

  • Whiplash: neck pain and stiffness
  • Fractures: intense pain, swelling, visible deformity or limited use of the affected limb
  • Muscle strains or tendon injuries: soreness, weakness, bruising or a popping sound at the moment of injury
  • Nerve damage: numbness, tingling or weakness

Early treatment is key to preventing long-term damage and ensuring full recovery.

Complete Care Spine & Orthopedics FAQs

During your first visit, our board-certified physicians will perform a comprehensive medical exam, review your history and identify the source of your pain. We will then explain your treatment options so you can make an informed decision for your care.

Complete Care’s interventional pain management program uses a multidisciplinary approach to diagnose and treat pain caused by auto accidents. Our anesthesiologists, orthopedists, neurologists, chiropractors and nurses collaborate to create personalized treatment plans.

Our focus is on interventional treatments, but we also prescribe other pain management tools, such as back braces, TENS units or physical therapy after evaluating your needs. We create individual, comprehensive treatment plans to effectively treat your specific pain condition.

Most injections are outpatient procedures. Typically, you can go home within an hour of your appointment unless otherwise instructed by a physician.

When scheduling your procedure, you will receive specific instructions to ensure your safety and prevent rescheduling. This will include a list of medications to abstain from for seven days prior to your procedure. If you have any questions, your case manager or surgical coordinator will be happy to help.
